Now that lockdown has lifted we are able to travel a bit more. We decided to rent a small cottage on a fishery farm near the village of Sheepwash in north west Devon for a short break. The farm proved to be run mainly for tourists with alpaccas and Shetland ponies as well as fishing ponds that had been dyed an impossible shade of blue.
If you are wondering about the name my guidebook said it was the place where they used to wash the sheep before shearing. It was my first visit and I found a chocolate box village complete with thatched cottages, a small village shop, a pub and a church.

It sounds like a lovely place for a break. The cottage is so quaint! =)

Looks like a quiet peaceful little village that’s fun to explore. I love those thatched roofs but can’t imagine they’d be very effective in our part of the world. Good post!
